Descendants of Godfrey Nims and the French/First Nation Raids
On February 29, 1704 French soldiers and their First Nation allies attacked the small palisaded hamlet of Deerfield, Massachusetts murdering and abducting members of the Godfrey Nims family and other villagers.
Four of Godfrey and his wife’s children survived the raid and into adulthood. The Nims Family Association (NFA) is made up of descendants of those four children, John Nims, Thankful Nims Munn, Ebenezer Nims, and Abigail Nims Rising.
We actively seek contact with all of Godfrey’s descendants. Please join us!
