We’ve updated our RootsMagic online database!

We’ve added the Abigail and Ebenezer lines to our John database.

NFA has made it’s archived genealogical data available online. We’ve been maintaining our family trees in RootsMagic and we are now able to publish them via RootsMagic’s online tool.

• Please remember that this data has been gathered over the years by volunteers. If you find a boo-boo, please point it out but be nice about it.

• We will publish the Thankful lineage as soon as possible.

Databases (as of Summer 2026):

• Nims_Abigail-Ebenezer-John - RootsMagic Online - We have finally released our lineage data for not only John Nims, but his sister Abigail Nims Rising and his brother Evenezer Nims. It also contains some of the growing research about his father Godfrey Nims and Godfrey’s two wives. We will be updating, correcting, and publishing Thankful’s lineage soon.

The Nims Family archival database is dedicated to Historian Emeritus Allan R. Wiscombe whose tireless efforts over twenty years have more than doubled its size thus significantly expanding our knowledge of the four surviving family lines: John, Ebenezer, Thankful and Abigail. Allan's careful stewardship ensured our recordkeeping adhered to genealogical best practices and has yielded an outstanding archival record of our fascinating family history in America.
