Reunion 2024!

Nims Family 2024 Reunion

Our reunion of the Nims Family Association in Deerfield, Massachusetts at the Deerfield Community Center.

We had a great turnout for our in-person (finally!) reunion. It was marvelous to reconnect and meet new Nims family and friends.

The Association honored Rob Brun del Re for his dedicated work reaching back into Godfrey’s history.

Here are President David Nims’ closing remarks:

“In 1990 The NIms Family Association published a book on the Seven Generations of Descendants from Godfrey Nims. It was the culmination of many years of research and writing led by Editor Beth Suddaby, who as you know is with us today.

To recognize and thank Beth for her significant efforts, the board presented her with a pair of crystal vases. Several months ago, Beth contacted me about donating one of the vases to be awarded as the board determined was appropriate.

I am thrilled to announce that the board decided to award the vase to another dedicated researcher and writer. It is difficult to overstate the impact of his decade-long research project on our knowledge of Godfrey’s early life and that of his family. His work is a perfect bookend to the Seven Generations book. The board is pleased to present the vase to Rob Brun del Re.”
